SnoFalls Pottery specializes in handcrafted stoneware ceramics with a focus on minimalist designs and intricate details. Every piece is hand made and totally unique; we are not 'production' potters who crank out a hundred of the same, generic items.

We recommend hand washing with a mild detergent for all of our pieces, although they are completely dishwasher safe. Almost all of our pieces are very durable, although they are ceramic, so they can chip or break if handled roughly or dropped on a hard surface.

We use commercial glazes from reputable companies like Amaco and Mayco, as well as local producers like Clay Art Center in Tacoma, Washington. All the glazes we use on pieces intended for use with or close to food will be glazed with a food safe material. Pieces are generally also oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe, although we always recommend hand washing to preserve their beauty. Decorative items may utilize non-food safe materials, and we'll always specify in the listing description of the item it's food-safe status. 

We generally use Stoneware clay sourced locally here in the Pacific Northwest. We create our pieces on the wheel or by hand, then fire them in our kiln, glaze them with food-safe glazes, and fire them again at a higher temperature to finish the pieces.

Yes, we offer custom orders for clients who are looking for personalized pieces. Contact us to discuss your ideas and we will work with you to create a unique ceramic piece. The time it takes to complete a custom order depends on the complexity of the design and the number of pieces requested. We will provide you with an estimated timeline after discussing your order with you. Count on at least 3-4 weeks for delivery at a minimum.

We package all of our pieces with great care to ensure they arrive at your doorstep in pristine condition. We use recycled materials whenever possible in shipping, and encourage our patrons to recycle or reuse our packaging materials themselves. We generally use bio-degradable packaging materials made from paper or cardboard. In rare cases we do use 'bubble wrap', and rest assured it's being reused from another package. We never purchase packaging materials that are not recycled or recyclable.
